JOE:
Joe's enthusiasm for cooking began as a child when he would help his
Mom and Grandma in the kitchen. Much of his childhood was spent on a
family farm near Wautoma, where he was able to familiarize himself with
the type of dining that Wisconsinites were sure to enjoy. Joe found such a
love for cooking, that he declined a football scholarship and chose to attend
culinary school. After earning his degree in culinary arts from Kendall
College, Joe embarked on a career lasting almost 20 years with Marriott.

KATHY:
Baking has always been a part of Kathy's life. As a little girl, she would
help her Mom and "Bubbie" (Grandmother) bake. Like Joe, much of
Kathy's summer time was spent on a family farm in Arkansas. That is
where she learned the importance of utilizing farm fresh ingredients, and
had her Aunt's saying, "Never serve day-old pie" embedded into her mind.
Kathy decided to turn her passion for baking into a career and pursued her
education and received a degree in baking and pastry arts from Johnson
and Wales University in South Carolina. After completing her studies, she
moved back home and also engaged in a career with the Marriott that
covered a span of 15 years.

Joe and Kathy met while they were expanding on their careers within the
Marriott organization. Both of them have family in Wisconsin, so it was not
a difficult decision for them to make Wisconsin their home. In 2011, they
built a home, and in 2013 Joe and Kathy became parents to their beautiful
daughter, Emma. It was now time to pursue their dream and become
proprietors of an eating establishment that would bring them back to the
home cooking that inspired them both with a zealousness and fervency for
food itself.

In the summer of 2015, Mr. and Mrs. P's is becoming reality. We look
forward to making the acquaintance of a spectrum of visitors, and are
certain that you will not be disappointed.
